you desire for your personal development or career by taking this training?
EXPERIENCE
· What
experience(s) you have had with the Feldenkrais Method®. Please include any
practitioners with whom you have worked, where they are working, and tapes or
books or other materials that you have used. (Lack of previous experience will
not exclude a prospective student from acceptance).

hobbies or anything else that you feel is important for us to know about you.

Enrollment is limited. Applications will be
reviewed on a first-come first-served basis. Applicants will be notified of
acceptance within 30 days after receipt of application. Upon approval of the
application a $ 500.00 deposit will be required to reserve space in the program.
If the prospective student cannot commit to the training program after their
placement has been confirmed, the $500.00 deposit will be refunded minus a
$50.00 processing fee. Many programs have as many as 60 to 80 participants. This training will be
composed of a small international group of probably 25-30 participants.
Generally such student diversity mixed with living in a new culture during a
training program brings out much creativity during the group process. This small
class size allows for a close student-teacher relationship in a non-threatening
environment rarely found in any other training.
Tuition (per month)
Tuition costs are $1750.00 per month.
Graduates of accredited trainings will be able to visit for a cost of
$10.00/day unlike the free of charge fee which has been our policy for the
previous five Hawaii Programs, on a space available basis. This is due to the
large number of requests for visitor visitation, which has required the rental
of a larger venue. Students already enrolled in other programs wishing to
review earlier material may attend the training at half the normal daily rate.

Housing and Airplane reservations
The Hawaiian Islands receive many visitors during the high
season of travel from late November through the end of February. Often housing
arrangements and airline reservations are made at a minimum of 6 months in
advance. The Hawaii FELDENKRAIS® Training will help you with housing
arrangements, but we cannot assure fairly reasonable prices should you decide to
wait until the last moment to send in your application.
Student Evaluation & Graduation Process
The progress and learning of each student in the training program will be
closely supported, guided and followed throughout the four years. Personalized
supervision will be an ongoing part of the training process and will be used to
build your skills and understanding.
Midway through the Hawaii Training Program qualified students will become eligible for authorization to teach Awareness Through Movement. This interim authorization to teach Awareness Through Movement is a student teaching position, subject to completing all graduation requirements and on approval of the FELDENKRAIS GUILD® of North America. Students must meet training program attendance requirements. Any student missing more than five (5) days of training per year or a total of more than ten (10) days over the course of the entire four years will be required to make up lost time. The Educational Director reserves the right to ask any student to receive further training before being considered for graduation and full FELDENKRAIS practitioner status.
At the end of the 4th
year or upon completion of program requirements (students have 7 years to
complete the training from the date of entry), graduates are eligible to become practitioners of
both Functional Integration and Awareness Through Movement, and
eligible for full membership in The FELDENKRAIS GUILD® association of their choice.
The Hawaii FELDENKRAIS® Training is accredited by the FELDENKRAIS GUILD® of
North America.
